Meet our team.

Lauren Mair, Educational Leader and 4-year-old Teacher

Lauren marks her tenth year as Educational Leader/4-year-old Teacher at Tecoma Preschool in 2018.

Since completing her Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies at the University of Melbourne in 2004, Lauren has been working full-time in the field.

‘I find great enjoyment in being a teacher. Being able to observe daily the development and enjoyment that children get from my kinder program is very rewarding. Their comments, mannerisms and giggles constantly keep me entertained and allow me to get to know each and every child.

The team of educators here at Tecoma Preschool work together to provide an environment where all children can feel safe to explore, learn and be inspired. Each milestone is a celebration and life is full of new and exciting things!’

Noeleen Koller, 4-year-old Assistant

Noeleen has been working as an assistant at Tecoma Preschool since 2001 and completed her Certificate III in Children’s Services in 2002.

‘I really enjoy working with young children. It’s so wonderful to observe their discoveries and development throughout the preschool year. Each day spent with the children is exciting and new, and full of fun.’

Jo Cleeman, 3-year-old Teacher and 4-year-old Assistant

Jo has worked at the kinder since May 2007. She has worked extensively with the 4-year-old groups and was excited to also take on the role of leading the 3-year-old group in 2015.

Jo completed her Certificate III in Children’s Services in 2013 and her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2014.

Previously, Jo was involved with the kinder as a parent, participating on the preschool committee in many roles including fundraising, secretary and president.

‘I am very lucky to have a job that I love so much. The journey each year with the children is an amazing experience. Never a day passes without one of the children making me laugh.’

Denise Wotherspoon, 3-year-old Assistant

Denise started as the 3-year-old Assistant in 2012 and completed her Certificate III in Children’s Services in 2013.

Previously, Denise worked at Tecoma Preschool as an assistant for children that have additional needs. Before that, Denise worked at Sassafras Preschool and Arrabri Kindergarten.

‘Children have so much to offer. I believe it is very important to listen to children and I often think I learn as much from them as they do from me.’
